The atmosphere of the Este masquerades will arise: after almost six hundred years, the amazing Carnival of Ferrara Court is organized in the very heart of Italian Renaissance.
An historical recollection of the Carnival celebrated by the Este Court during the Renaissance. Masquerades, events, historical parades, banquets and theatre shows will be organized in the city centre and in the Renaissance palaces, while shop windows will be decorated with Carnival themes.Cradle of the Renaissance, Ferrara brings to life the splendour and the atmosphere of Este 16th century Court with a spectacular Renaissance Carnival. Dances, banquets and costume parties will cover the city of art in colour throughout the Carnival period.
Moreover, guided tours, cultural excursions and masquerade entertainment will be organized in the UNESCO Heritage city centre, to retrace the history of the Estense capital city during the era of Ercole I and Lucrezia Borgia (1471-1505).
A “Renaissance Festival” will be set in the city centre, with music, banquets and entertainment.
