The 3rd EDITION of PIANO ESTENSE will be held from June 12th to 14th, 2026, in the splendid setting of Ferrara’s historic buildings. This year, pianists will perform at Palazzo Roverella, the Teatro Comunale Foyer, Palazzo Naselli, Palazzo Giulio d’Este, and the Certosa Gardens.
From Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, a series of piano performances will be held by applicants of various levels (professional and amateur pianists, students from the Conservatory and music schools, and amateurs), with programs evaluated by the organizing committee.
The event was created to spread the beauty of classical music (but without neglecting contemporary repertoire) and transform the city into a vast, open-air stage.
The PianoEstense project aims primarily to spread classical musical culture through the most elegant and noble instrument of all: the piano. Participants’ program remains free, meaning that, while the event has a classical theme, modern and contemporary pieces are not excluded, always taking into account the concert venue.
